Magazine Positioning Device for MAT26x

This fully processor controlled turret drive unit frees the PC from operating the turret motor with single steps over the IEEE-Bus.

Once calibrated, It detects the position of the sample wheel and sends the data over a CAN-Bus interface to the host PC. There is a noticeable amount of time saved for fully automatic measurements due to the fact that the drive knows the position and does not have to move the samples to an index-position.

The actual location is detected even if the processor was powered down or the turret is turned manually. The PC is aware of the sample positons at all times.
